Postdoctoral Position in Transient and Multi-messenger Astronomy Data Science in Greenbelt
The General Coordinates Network (GCN) Project and High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC) at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) invite applications for postdoctoral research positions in the fields of transient and/or multi-messenger astrophysics. Applicants should have a strong astrophysics research track record and deep expertise in the technical disciplines of full-stack software development, data visualization, React, TypeScript, and Python. Experience in Apache Kafka and cloud computing would also be beneficial. The successful applicant will join the GCN team, who operate NASA’s time-domain and multi-messenger transient alert system.
