Postdoctoral position in theoretical stellar astrophysics at the FORTH Institute of Astrophysics
The position is related to the Horizon project: ARGOS Conceptual Design Study: Designing a Next-Generation Radio Facility for Multi-Messenger Astronomy (Grant Agreement number: 101094354). The successful applicant is expected to conduct cutting-edge research in theoretical stellar astrophysics, with a focus on developing an open-source, modular population-synthesis code to simulate populations of compact objects and their gravitational and E/M emission. The position is open to candidates with a Ph.D. in astrophysics or related field. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates with a background in agile software development to further their research experience and contribute to large European R&D projects.
