The Center for Gravitational Physics (CGP) at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for the position of Gravity Fellow, with a focus on the applications of data science and machine learning to fundamental problems in gravitational wave physics and multimessenger astrophysics. Gravity Fellow will have the opportunity to conduct independent research and to collaborate with the faculty of the CGP (Hsin-Yu Chen, Pablo Laguna, Richard Matzner, Deirdre Shoemaker, and Aaron Zimmerman). This position is equivalent to a senior postdoctoral fellowship, starting in September 2025. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of extension to a third year subject to available funding and research performance. Application deadline: November 22nd, 2024.
